Relative Adoptions

Many children are adopted by a relative - someone related to the child by family ties or through a prior relationship connection.  Relative families have some needs that are different from families who adopt unrelated children. Most adoption agencies offer a a variety of professional services to help new relative caregivers manage the transition, access community resources for their new family, and provide continuing support to relative caregiving families.
